Performing Wales e-bog

It is the first book to locate Welsh culture and performance explicitly within performance studies, and utilises performance studies methods as an optic through which to analyse Welsh culture.It uses ideas and concepts from a wide range of fields and methods, for example, memory studies, anthropology, the study of space and place, literature, history and historiography, as well as theatre and performance studies, reflecting on the relevance of several ideas to the function of culture as performance.It approaches culture in terms of performance, that is, as a live, ephemeral and event-based manifestation of culture that is not necessarily located in textual form.It is written from a specific point of view, and attempts to provide the cultural stance of a bilingual speaker in analysing Welsh cultural performance.
