Bildnerisches Denken e-bog
How do we experience images? To answer this question it is necessary to know what images are: they only develop through a particular form of viewing - more precisely: through a particular thinking in viewing - »image thinking.« This mode of thought is responsible for all kinds of image experience - in receiving and producing images and in the envisioning of »mental images.« In contrast to many theoretical approaches to the image, Goda Plaum's model takes all of these processes of »image thinking« into consideration and shows their inherent connection. In the process, no only is the phenomenon of the image comprehensively elucidated, but also the concept of »image thinking«, mostly traced back to Paul Klee, is for the first time precisely defined.
