She has cofounded her own survival program in Canada called Project Whitewaterwhereby adolescents were allowed to coexist with nature and its inhabitantsand she has noted that in all of her experiences in the wilderness she has rarelyexperienced danger. As a teacher she strives to impart the value of recognizing the beauty and nobility ofall creatures and the importance of preserving and protecting them at all costs.
