Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. Limitation of space has prevented the inclusion of many suitable houses in the States of New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, and, particularly, Queensland. Tasmania, which possesses some fine Old houses, and West Australia had to be omitted altogether. We hope that if this book meets with the approval of the public, we shall be able to continue the work begun in it and publish further examples of sound domestic architecture in Australia.
