Choreografischer Baukasten. Das Buch e-bog
The »The Choreographic Toolbox« provides the building blocks for the contemporary practice of choreography. It came into being in collaboration with internationally renowned choreographers, who brought their experience gathered through their individual artistic projects. The toolbox presents a broad spectrum of contemporary choreographic work methods, and is guided by the idea of creating spaces of possibility for a choreographic praxis. »The Choreographic Toolbox: The Book« carries over the open toolbox system into a book format, in combination with digitally accessible materials. The book gathers practice-oriented modules on the topics »Generating«, »Form Giving«, »Ways of Playing«, »Composition« and »Collaboration«, as well as an essay on contemporary choreography and interviews with Jonathan Burrows, Nik Haffner, Thomas Kampe, Martin Nachbar, Jochen Roller, Anna Huber and Hubert Machnik, who visually illustrate their individual ways of working in exemplary fashion. Together with the digitally accessible practice methods, »The Choreographic Toolbox: The Book« delivers inspiration for experienced choreographers and dancers, and for all those involved with theater, performance, or with choreographic processes and productions in therapeutic settings. It also makes the tools for an experimental, playful encounter with movement and dance available to all those who have little experience with choreography to date.
