And physicist is a person well versed in the study of physics. In the present encyclopaedia, we have taken all leading physicists of the world - past and present. Alphabetically arranged by names, we have given biographical sketches and illustrious contribution they have made to science of physics. Wherever possible major theories propounded by them, are given brief introduction. This work in four volumes, hopefully, will prove most informative and useful to one and all concerned. This will serve as a dependable reference work.
