The five volumes are subdivided into sections by linguistic sub-fields. Vol. 1 contains the plenary papers and papers from the round tables. Volume 2 contains sections on I. General problems, II. Geographical linguistics and sociolinguistics, and III. Languages in contact. Volume 3 contains section IV. Grammar, subdivided into Phonology and phonetics, Morphology, and Syntax. Volume 4 contains sections V. Lexicology, VI. Semantics, and VII. Texts and languages. Volume 5 continues section VII. Texts and languages, and further includes sections VIII. Problems of philology, and IX. History of Romance Philology. The papers are written in Italian, French, and Spanish.
