Night Scenes in the Bible e-bog

Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. It is with such views of the infinite variety and special adap tation of the Scriptures that the following sketches have been written. The author has endeavored to explore a single vein in this exhaustless and many-chambered mine, and to bring forth seme few golden grains for others to use and enjoy. He has tried in a few particulars to read the past in the light of to-day, and to show that the Bible is a fit emanation from the one Infinite Mind, to whom all things are ever present and with whom all have to do. From the night scenes in sacred history he has sought to bring forth some rays of light to cheer the dark hours of life, and to guide pilgrims on their way to that land where there shall be no night.
