The Fig Orchard: A Story of Hope is a fiction-suspense novel, written by the author H. Valencia. In this gripping story, two American Journalists travel to the island of Abaddon. As days turn into months, they must align themselves with certain convicts; while trying to acquire the means and expertise needed to attempt an escape. In a flash, the political climate on the island intensifies; as does the climate within the prison walls. During their stay at the Fig Orchard, the journalists encounter a typhoon, witness public crane hangings, are forced to participate in dance rehearsals, are sent to solitary confinement, confront a bully named Golem, and more.
