The author's childhood, having taught her to always do what she was told, led her to tolerate a loveless marriage because of her two sons, who actually adored their father and saw her as little more than their maid. Then one day she was suddenly confronted with her double and took the opportunity to walk through the looking glass and into another world. This put her into a conflict with her religious background and the contrasting world of criminal intrigue in which she then found herself. How would she adapt to her new life?
