It takes a special kind of dreamer to load a life into a wagon and head west in search of a new life, and Robert Samron thought he was the man to take on the wild new frontier. The family packed everything they owned and headed west. A fathers dreams were fulfilled when his son Jeb joined them on the quest, but his arrival came with a steep price: Jeb had lost everything and was escaping to the West to start fresh, free from shame. At St. Joe, Missouri, the Samrons met and befriended two other families, the Floarans and the Leahs, who joined their wagon train. The trip was long and arduous, and an attacking band of Indians threatened the groups very survival. But after making a narrow escape, the settlers finally made it to an idyllic mountain valley they soon named Waterfall. There, they built a communityand new livestogether.
