Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. The diary is contained in a small black leather pocket-book, and is written in an exceedingly minute and clear hand, but, nu fortunately, a few pages are missing both at the beginning and end. The loss of the concluding portion is especially to be deplored, for we are left to mere conjecture as to the mode of the doctor's return to earth. The Theosophical Society might possibly throw some light on the mystery.
