Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. This work is designed to meet the wants of a large class of Sunday-school Teachers and Bible-readers, who may not be able to obtain the larger and more expensive works, and which are better adapted to, the use of more advanced Bible students. It aims to give the results of investigations and research from the latest and most elaborate works published on the subject; thus making it, in a measure, a compendium of all these works, but also, equally, a new and independent book.
