Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. Reasons for these statements will be given early in the following pages, from which it will be seen that the estate of Little Sugnall, however acquired, and that that of Dorslow, remained with his direct descendants during the whole of the thirteenth century and beyond.
