With this view a Committee has been formed consisting of Sir Frederic Kenyon (President of the Academy), Professor Sir Paul Vinogradoff as Director of publications, Viscount Bryce, Professor C. H. Firth, Professor Sir Israel Gollancz (Secretary of the Academy), Dr. R. L. Poole, Dr. G. W. Prothero, Professor T. F. Tout, and Sir George Warner. A grant in aid has been voted by Parliament on the proposal of the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury towards the expenses of the publication of the Series.
