General Lee, His Campaigns in Virginia e-bog

Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. Nearly thirty years ago I ventured to publish Four Years with General Lee, in which my primary Object was to assist in establishing the fact of the great numerical Odds against which the army under General Lee had to contend in its encounters with the Federal armies opposed to it. General Lee had expressed a purpose to do this, and after his death, before its accomplishment, the duty seemed logically to devolve upon me.
