This little book has been compiled for the purpose of rescuing from unmerited oblivion and preserving in a permanent form a record of the descendants of John Beatty and Susanna Asfordby, as well as with the aim to kindle and keep alive, in those of their line now liv ing, a love and veneration for their memories. My brief sketch contains no statement which can not be verified by history, well authenticated records, and the highest genealogical authorities.
