Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. Under this heading it is proper to say, that over nine hundred Question Blanks have been sent out to living members of the family of Bemis, and connec tions, and as these Blanks provided for four generations, and were largely filled out from Family Bibles, Church and Town Records, also by the persons themselves, they are considered to be the best of authorities. The author personally, and through members of the Family, also through County, Town and Church Clerks has acquired copies of all the important records.
