Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. The work will be found more full and complete in dates of births, marriages, deaths, and other details, than most similar works; and to perfect these, has been a great additional labor. Many of the family, not fully appreciating the importance of these details, have not given them in the records sent, notwithstanding the explicit requests in my letters and circulars; and in very many instances have reported names merely, omitting all dates; and it has been only by subsequent and oft-repeated explicit solicitations, that I have been able, at last, to obtain them.
