Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. The compiler of this Hyde Genealogy has attempted, what he believes has not before been done in the United States. That is, to trace out the descendants of one of the Pilgrim Fathers of New England, down to the present time, in the female lines as well as in the male lines; embracing in most cases seven or eight generations, and some times more, from William Hyde their common ancestor. And he has succeeded far beyond what he had any reason to ex peet when be commenced the arduous task.
