William Randolph, colonist, was born Morton Morrell, Warwick shire, England, in 1651, and died on Turkey Island, Virginia, April 11. 1711. He belonged to a family line of which were Thomas Randolph, mentioned in Domesday Book as ordered to do duty in person against the King'oi France John Randolph, an eminent judge and connected with the exchequer Avery Randolph, principal of Pembroke College, Oxford Thomas Randolph, embassador of Queen Elizabeth; and Thomas Randolph, the poet. A black letter pedigree found among the papers of Sir John Ran dolph carries the line back to Robert Randolph (born 1550 who married Rosa Roberts. His son, William (born 1582, died married lst Elizabeth Smith and had children, viz.
