Two of these sermons were preached before the students of Iowa College in connection with the day of prayer for colleges. It is pleasant to testify to their evangelistic power as deter mined by that practical test. NO test is more practical. A body of college students is some what unconventional and entirely frank in the response to what comes before them. The combination in these sermons of strong intellectuality with, if possible, yet more pro found spiritual experience, is precisely adapted to effectiveness before college students. These sermons lift up Christ in order that he may draw all men unto him.
