This lat ter law, we are to affirm, has been abrogated. In the next place, we are to prove that the Gospel in its elements was then first pro claimed. By its elements we simply mean the great facts Of the Gospel as developed in the death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and coronation Of the Redeemer of the world. In the last place, we shall attempt to prove to-day that the conditions of salvation, under the reign Of Christ, were first proclaimed upon Pentecost; that the terms of pardon as laid down by Jesus Christ and his apostles were then first published to the world. To these facts we ask your attention this morning. I would that this proposition was more simple; that there was but one truth to demonstrate. But we have at least four distinct propositions to establish; running, indeed, the one into the other; distinct, yet here closely connected.
