Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. Preconditions for understanding the thought-world of Jesus, in the light of religious history, are to be found. I recommend all those to whom post exilic Judaism is still entirely unknown to read the Appendix first, so as to acquire at least some of the elementary facts necessary to the under standing oi the historical situation.
