Charles Dudley Warner (September 12, 1829 - October 20, 1900) was an American novelist and essayist. He was a close friend of Mark Twain, and co-authored "e;The Gilded Age: A Tale of Today"e; with him. Other notable works by this author include: "e;Baddeck, And That Sort of Thing"e; (1874), "e;In the Levant"e; (1876), and "e;On Horseback, in the Southern States"e; (1888).
