Plätze. Dächer. Leute. Wege. e-bog
The experimental musical theater project »Places. Roofs. People. Paths.« (Plätze. Dächer. Leute. Wege.) used the city of Bielefeld as an example to explore utopian potentials in urban space. A team of musicians, dancers, artists, academics and dramaturges tackled this task in several, equally weighted project components, and transformed the results into musical theater. The evening placed the procedural in the spotlight, with the event conceiving of itself as a collection of the city, and as part of a movement that uses experimental means to question how we want to live. Complementing this, the book collects essays on issues around musical theater, the city, and interventions in public space. In addition, conversations and photo documentation offer insights into the working process.
