I have had in mind two considerations: to give so much of the psychology as to make the symptoms intelligible, and to show that soldiers suffering from war-shock respond peculiarly well to psycho-therapeutic treatment. It offends the scientifically trained mind to read, as I did to-day: A soldier, who became dumb two years ago after an explosion, suddenly recovered his speech at a cinematograph show.
