Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. The League has influenced the Board of Education to make some provision for Moral instruction in all elementary schools in England and Wales. Some sixty Local Education Authorities now provide for systemation Moral and Civic Instruction in their schools, and all of these, with one or two exceptions, have taken action as the direct result of the propaganda of the League. The Cheshire, Devonshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey. West Riding of Yorkshire, and other Education Authorities, have adopted, in its entirety, with very slight modifications, the Graduated Syllabus of Moral and Civic Instruction for Elementary Schools drawn up by the League, which promises shortly to be in general use. The League has published a similar Syllabus for Secondary Schools. It has also exercised considerable influence in other countries.
