Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. On account of the arrangement of the statutes according to subject the laws are not' in chronological or numerical order. A particular statute of a certain year may be found by looking in the index of statutes, on page 173. Digests of the most important decisions of the Supreme Judicial Court on the agricultural law have been also included in the book. In most cases the reporter's headnote has been used, though in a few cases it has seemed better to use an extract from the decision itself. The cases are indexed by both name and volume. A list of the officials charged with the enforcement of the various laws relating to agriculture has also been included, and will be found on page 169. - editor.
