Minutes of the Seventh Session of the Detroit Annual Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church e-bog

The Detroit Annual Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church, convened for its seventh annual session, in the City of Ann Arbor, September 24, 1862. At 9 o'clock, the Bishop not having arrived, the Secretary of last year called the Conference to order, when it proceeded to elect a President, according to the direction of the Discipline in such cases brothers Gardner and Smart acting as tellers. Rev. George Smith, Presiding Elder of Adrian District, was elected President. The Secretary then called the roll of the Conference, when eighty-seven members answered to their names.
