The decisions in the Patent Office have been conflicting, and the court cases are not altogether harmonious. Fortunately, the Supreme Court has had occasion, of late, to pass somewhat fully upon a design-patent cause, and it seems an opportune time to collect the cases, digest them, and present them, with deductive comments, to the profession, in a single volume.
