Zoonoses: Infections Affecting Humans and Animals e-bog

The book will cover the most important zoonoses having a direct impact on public health and debate actual developments in this field from a 'One Health' perspective. The main chapters will deal with zoonoses in the food chain including a special focus on the emerging issue of antibiotic resistance, with zoonoses in domestic animals, pets , in and wildlife species , the role of zoonoses in the spread of influenza and tuberculosis and zoonotic pathogens as agents for bioterrorism. Further chapters cover non-resolved and currently hotly debated zoonoses (e.g. Morbus Crohn disease, /Paratuberculosis, Chronic Botulism) as well as, the economic and ecological aspects of zoonoses.
