Whilst the greatest effort has been made to ensure the quality of this text, due to the historical nature of this content, in some rare cases there may be minor issues with legibility. The Table of Corrections to Middle Latitude was computed entirely anew. The corresponding table in common use, which was originally computed by Workman, contains more than four hundred errors, sev eral of them amounting to two minutes.
