Competing in a 100 metres long race thrilled meduring my school days. I did not always fi nishfi rst in the race, but the interesting point to me wasthat, I always crossed the fi nishing line no matterwhat. I used to observe some disappointment on myfellow competitors whenever they fi nished the racebehind others. They complained about the weatheror just blamed themselves as being useless runners. What they did not realise was that, we were all winnersbecause we all ran and crossed the fi nishing line. Thismentality helped me to believe that limitations did notcome from anyone but myself. No one was ever forcedby anyone to pull out of the race, that decision camefrom an individual. Failure in anything is a matter ofchoice. In my book The Cankerworm, I have identifi edthe root causes of debt, distress and discontentmentthat lie within and how they can be overcome. Doingnothing is not an option. All issues in this book are realand nothing is factious.God BlessDaniel Dube
