Dr. Prince, working with 'a subject who could be put' into several hypnotic states, discovered that ideas which passed through the mind just before going to sleep invariably appeared in the dreams. This conclusion does not invalidate that of Freud, and if it is corroborated by other observers it may prove an important advance in our knowledge of the sources of the content of dreams.
