The poetry is sectioned into four parts: 1) Love and loss, 2) Tragedy, 3) Religion, and 4) Brotherhood. The brotherhood section has the most number of poems because of the author's precarious lifestyle as a youth. Most all Gerard's poetry deals with some sort of hardship. I think this is an attempt to correct or help with an answer and to look forwards' and make amends. In conclusion, the author agrees, We all make mistakes."e;
