Philip Russell is a naturalizedVirginian, where he has lived since1967. Having moved there aftergraduating from high school inHazleton, Pennsylvania. Marriedand father of three grown children. While Philip has written severalpoems, mostly to commemoratefamily events, it was on a visit to SanJose, California where his daughterand family lives that he was inspired to write this account for hisgrandson.
