Zarasha Wakhan's family has been living in the valley near the Pakistan-China border for generations. As a girl full of ambitions and dreams, Zarasha is comforted knowing that she is the light of her father's life and that God is always protecting her and her family. But one night when her father mistakenly opens the door to strangers, her life changes forever. After Zarasha loses her parents on account of a terrible crime, she alongside her sister move to another village to start all over again.
