She was born into a world of seclusion and exile. Most of her childhood was spent in hiding from the merciless enemy who destroyed many of her ancestors long before she existed. Raised by her mother, father, and two grandmothers, Mariana seemed to lead a normal life alongside her only friend, Jillienne, and her parents. In spite of their isolation, Mariana and Jillienne were both happy children and were raised in a loving home with good family values.One fateful day, everything changed as both girls lost all their loved ones and were forced to flee the only home they had ever known. Destiny carried them both to a new sanctuary very different than anything they had experienced before. Bustling with families from various cultures who were also in hiding, this new community became very challenging for Mariana and Jillienne to fit into as adolescents.It wasn't until this very moment that the two girls realized how different Mariana was from all her peers. After years of torment, Mariana eventually embraced her adverse differences and transformed them into something positive.
