Senator Joe Garcia invited her group to a Congressional debate at Capitol Hill. She road in the private underground train that government official ride. She visited the Newseum where there are exhibits of real news stories. A few selected students from all over the world get accepted into JSA. Shalonze-Ltian Mivens was one of the few based on her outstanding grades, academic performances, and interests in making a positive difference.
